back in USA...
Back in US now and I can't sat we are unhappy.Had a really nice ride out of Kamloops, another 450 mi. day.Rode highway 6 out or Kamloops B.C. over to Nelson B.C. then down to the US border and entered US on Highway 20.Highway 6 .....g kake beautiful ride, mountanous.lots of trees, smells like Pinesol and has a ferry crossing. There is a long ride along lake Arrow (They have big lakes in Canada, really big) Anyway, many of the tall power poles along the lake have large stick nests on top belonging to a huge Osprey population. They nest safely atop the poles, eat fish from the lake, then in fall migrate to Central and South America.Never understood this migration thing. Why not just find a nice place to live ,like Costa Rica, and stay there? Glad to be in US cause gas prices are much cheaper by $2 per gallon We paid over $5 per gallon in Canada. (Was $2 cheaper in Alaska too.) Canadian government heavily taxes fuel.Guess free health care ain't free after all...just pay as you drive).Another problem fueling in Canada is they haven't discovered pay at the pump with a credit card.Have to pump the gas,go inside ,stand in line, figure out which pump was yours, and pay.Not efficient way to fuel 6 bikes....boog
