saga continues

So,sunshine is on our shoulders and we are dring out as we tootle along Alaska highway toward Watson Lake.We were backtracking a bit of our heading up route, but didn't really make a difference.I could look at these vistas many times over and still be awed.Suddenly looked to my right and there is a big shiney black bear easing along the edge of the woods. We come to a screeching halt and scramble for our cameras like a bunch of tourists.but the bear ducks into the woods. We could see him in there foraging but he refused to present himself for a good photo. We wait,he goes deeper into the woods,we move on, disappointed, but pretty excited.By now we were hypervigilant(bound to be another) when we go blowing by this big brown rock right by the road...the rock moved...whoa,its a grizzly! Big u-turn,cameras ready we moved closer to the bear(on our bikes-we ain't stupid) The bear looked up,appearing annoyed and takes off across the road right in front of us.Not being sure of the bears intent Smoke and I were trying to maintain sphincter tone while Pawndog and Blood ripped off a couple of camera shots( They ain't skeered) Two good pictures out of the deal...finally got our grizzly!
