From Tok to Anchorage

Well, we have arrived in Anchorage and our odmometers shows 4180 miles so far. We left Tok about 8:30 with overcast skies and upper 50s. As we rode, it was apparent that Ken was not feeling well. He was off the bike and on the ground. Smoke and Boog doctored him for at least an hour. Ken was suffering with an inner ear disturbance of some kind (more on that later when I get the actual name) and Smoke filled a perscription for him and he drank some coffee. Soon he felt like riding again and we continued toward Anchorage. We came through the glacier country which was the most beautiful, bright white cap we have seen so far. Most of the glaciers have been less than white, but this one was pure bright white. We didn't take many pictures today since Ken wasn't feeling well and he is the king of picture-taking as well as documenting what we do every day. Today, Ken is feeling fine and ready to ride.
Fred and Mitch are staying with Fred's friend who resides in Anchorage. We will see them this morning and will celebrate the 4th of July later today at a family/friend cookout. We all wondered about the fireworks displays that we are so used to. Looks like we might have to wait until about November for it to be dark enough!

We have figured out the picture uploading, now we just have to decide what pictures to post.

We are meeting this morning at Alaskan Leather to get our bikes serviced and to have new tires mounted. We will spend a few days in Anchorage and then continue to the Arctic Circle and the Top of the World where our ride will be half over. We expect rough roads and cold weather. Then we will start for home. The plan is to take a different return route to see more of beautiful Western Canada and another side of the Rockies.
We will use these few days in Anchorage to choose what pcitures to post pictures since we each have 300-500 from which to select.
Stay tuned . . .
