Of course we are too cool for such plebian behavior by now.Decided to open cuffs on my jacket to get some airflow up my sleeve.Worked well until a wasp entered along with the cooling air and proceeded to light me up with his stinger. That created a minute or so of intense multitasking while I dealt with the situation..Saw more osprey nests today and more bears. We have seen so many bears we don't even take their picture now.Saw 2 very cute moose young adults, one with small antlers.Elk population is flourishing, they are everywhere in the park.Buffalo seem to be doing OK too.Saw a beautiful adult antelope...didn't realize they were native to Yellowstone.
Had a good day in the park but due to miscommunication Smoke and myself got separated from Pawndog and Blood. They wound up on opposite side of park from us.With a little help from cell phone technology we located each other but took nearly 2 hours to rejoin.By now its getting pretty late and we need to get out of the park and find lodging. There have been forest fires in western Washington State past few days and the smoke has created a haze over this area .When the sun drops behind the mountains it gets dark right now especially with the haze...
