MUD and MORE

Eagle Plains received downpour rain all night last night and it was raining this morning. By mid-morning, Boog was ready to leave for the Arctic Circle, so he and Pawn Dog headed in that direction. The road was muddy and slick. They made it to the A.C. , took pictures, and headed back toward Eagle Plains. On their way back, they ran into the other four making their way to the A.C. searching for Boog and Pawn Dog hoping they hadn't gone down somewhere, so Boog and Pawn Dog turned around and went back to the Arctic Circle, too. When they took their helmets off to take pictures, the mosquitos attacked them like they had never eaten and now, fresh meat was available! Smoke and Bacel headed back south to Eagle Plains while the other four rode beyond the A.C. toward Ft. McPherson. More rain came so the slick roads and mud forced them to turn around and head back to Eagle Plains where they all are once again spending the night. The motel they are staying in is nice enough with a restaurant and gas (for a radius of about 250 miles) and everything is run by a generator. No electrical power available. The employees work in seasons, not days. Consequently, there is no internet service so I am posting this from Boog's dictation which he provided via phone. They are all leaving for Dawson City again tomorrow, headed south toward home.

Ken and Pawn Dog stayed up last night to take pictures of the "sunset" and "sunrise" which set about 2:30 a.m. and rose futher along the horizon about an hour later. These pics will definitely be posted as soon as possible.

For those of you watching this progress, new pictures should be published soon . . .

A great way to stop the mosquitoes is o use Skin So Soft. I know it sounds weird, but it works.
